These are the pictures from Tarn in Copenhagen. The first few are of SHARING LOVING GIVING at NLH Space and the others are from the fest of the festival and after party. I haven’t checked back in with Tarn yet, but look forward to it. The ‘Artist Run‘ conference is today!
RAYGUN SKYPES WITH TARN AT NLH COPENHAGEN AS PART OF ‘ARTIST RUN’ x
Brad Buckley – Catalogue
RAYGUN + NLH Space Copenhagen -Install for SHARING LOVING GIVING that is part of ‘ARTIST RUN’ an International Festival for Artist Run Spaces.
Tarn has finished the install! It looks fantastic and is all ready for the opening of the festival on Friday night.
Yesterday Tarn visited the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, she wrote that she saw two ‘awesome’ exhibitions, but mostly spoke about the Museum, describing it as beautiful in every way, and maybe felt a little like MONA. The Museum is located on the Ocean, the roar of the ocean was invigorating and she could see Sweden from the shore. Tarn described the surrounding gardens has a Japanese influence with a Richard Serra camouflaged in the garden, and everything feeling a little like heaven on earth, with everything landscaped down to the ocean. I loved the photo of little Tarn under the high magnificent Magnolia Tree. Tarn is presenting at the conference connected with the Festival on Saturday! Exciting times.
Tarn in Copenhagen Day 1
It was so incredibly nice to speak with Tarn yesterday!!! She has arrived safely and look what the woman has achieved on the first day!!! I woke up to these great pictures. The install looks like it is well on the way, and its super exciting to see posters everywhere for the Artist Run Space Festival and conference that Tarn will speak at on the weekend! Go girl xx!!! (I just realised how many exclamation marks I’ve used, I’m excited, can you tell?) x
Tarn’s on the way to Copenhagen!
Tarn is on the way to Copenhagen!!!!!! to represent RAYGUN at ‘The International Festival for Artist Run Spaces’. (Don’t tell anyone, but I already miss her dashing in and out of the studio next door, I’m studio bound working madly on the end of this PhD) So- Tarn is representing, which she is so incredibly good at it! She’ll check in with me often and debrief, which will be exciting, I will of course keep you up to date with her adventures here, so stay tuned.
Brad Buckley Opening Night
Brad Buckley’s opening was great, and the work is fantastic. We love it. Don’t miss this show if you didn’t make it to the opening. We have loved spending the last few days with Brad and Helen, which has included lots of discussion and food. Check back soon for a podcast of a talk about his work that he did at the University of Southern Queensland.
Marina Abramovic and Ulay (I know we’ve already posted it, but I love it)
Ulay was Marina Abramovic’s partner and collaborator for many years. At the end of their working and personal relationship Abramovic and Ulay did one last performance together, they walked the Great wall of China, meeting in the middle, it took them 90 days. This video is of Abramovic’s recent work ‘The Artist is Present’ where in which she sat, 6 days a week for the three month duration of the exhibition at Moma, making eye contact with people who sat in front of her. The man who sits is Ulay.
