‘Some pigeons are more equal than others’

The project was conceived for the 2012 Venice Biennale.  A project by Swiss artist Julian Charrière, and German photographer Julius von Bismark. They installed their “pigeon apparatus” in Copenhagen for a week. The pigeons flew in and were covered with organic pigment and then flew out again roaming the streets of Venice as normal. The city was filled with coloured pigeons until the colour eventually wore off. More information is available on Charriere’s website
